Stock air filter can be modified by removing all the
fibre element and replacing with oiled foam.I used
automotive filter foam backed up by a square of 1/2"
galvo chicken wire.Drill holes in the metal frame to
hold the wire.A piece of fine foam (open-cell foam!)
backed up by a piece of air conditioner filter foam
should do the trick.Check and clean it at usual
intervals.
